What’s new in Zimoma

Every beta build, newest first. Zimoma is in beta on iPhone and iPad, on its way to the App Store.

Some features are switched on for testers in stages, so a build can hold things you don’t see yet.

Build 1515 October 2026

Whiteboards: an endless canvas for stickies, shapes, pen ink and photos, with arrows that join items and follow them when they move. Pan around, and pinch to zoom. Start one from ＋ or by typing /whiteboard.
Folders inside folders. Move a folder into another with Move to…, or make one with New Folder Inside.
Move a block up or down in a note.
Ask Zimoma reads your collections too, and links to the collection an answer came from.

Build 1415 October 2026

Publish a note as a read-only web page at zimoma.com, with an optional password and expiry date. Stop sharing takes it down at once.
Copy link and Share link in the Share sheet.
Settings › Connections: make a token so Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants can read and add to your notes, tasks and collections. For developers
Link cards and videos: a web page as a card, and YouTube or Vimeo videos that play in the note.
Formulas written in LaTeX, drawn as maths.
Tables with rows and columns added on either side, and a header row.
Find in Note and Note Info (words, characters, reading time, open tasks and links), from the note’s menu.
An icon and a cover for a note: an emoji before the title, and a photo or a soft colour above it.
The Tasks page gets a week strip, the day’s card, Someday and an Add a task bar.
Analytics: this week, your writing streak, 12 weeks of activity and your most-linked notes.

Build 1315 October 2026

Collections: structured lists with Table, List and Board views, typed fields, and sort, filter and group. Import and export CSV, and put one in a note with /collection.
Type / for blocks: checklists, headings, toggles that fold a section away, pages inside a note, and code in colour for its language.
Links between notes. A note shows the notes that link to it under Linked from.
Tasks, redesigned: a task can have a day, a time, a repeat, a deadline, a link and a page of its own.

Builds 11 and 1214 October 2026

Tasks: the checklist items from all your notes in one place, with deadlines and repeats such as “every Monday”.
Daily notes: one note for each day, from the Calendar.
Your phone’s calendar events, shown in the Calendar beside your notes.
Web links in notes. Type or paste an address and it becomes a link you can open, copy, edit or remove.

Zimoma on iPad: a sidebar, your list and the note side by side, in any orientation.
Apple Pencil support, and Sketch in ＋ on iPad: a blank page, ready to draw.
Settings on iPad as a list beside the page you’re on.

Zimoma 1.0 was submitted to App Review, together with Zimoma Pro, yearly or monthly.

Six themes in Settings › Theme. Three are free; Ultraviolet, Noir and Blossom come with Pro.

Continue with Google, beside Apple and email.
Notifications for shared notes. Tap one to open the note.
Photos, scans and recordings are stored with the note, so they reach your other devices and the people you share with.
Voice notes pause and carry on where they stopped.
Text sits on the lines of ruled paper.

Builds 1 to 55 to 7 October 2026

Zimoma on TestFlight, with Sign in with Apple and notes that sync to your account.
＋ in the tab bar opens one screen for every way to start a note.
Writing together: changes made at the same moment are merged block by block, with no screen asking you to choose.
