Notebooks

Write by hand, page after page.

A notebook is a book of paper pages under a cover you pick. Write with Apple Pencil or a finger, and turn the page like a book.

Paper, kept with your notes

Pages you turn like a book, ink that goes where your pen goes, and the rest of your notes one tap away.

The book

Pages that stay the size of paper

A4, A5, US Letter or the shape of your screen, in portrait or landscape. Every page in the notebook keeps that size.

Turned or scrolled

Pages slide sideways like a book, or run down in one long column. You pick for each notebook.

Pinch to zoom

Two fingers zoom in up to five times and move around the page.

Two pages at once

On iPad in landscape and in wide windows, pages sit side by side like an open book.

Back where you were

A notebook opens on the page you last read. With a keyboard, the arrow keys turn pages.

With the rest of your notes

A notebook is never off on its own.

Each page syncs, works offline and keeps its history like any note, so a notebook lives wherever your notes do.

iPad, iPhone and Mac

Made for Apple Pencil

iPad is the natural home for a notebook. Your notebooks are on your iPhone too.

iPad and Apple Pencil

The Pencil always draws and never scrolls the page. Double tap it for the eraser. A finger draws or scrolls, as you choose in Settings.

iPhone

A finger draws, and two fingers zoom and move the page. Every notebook is there, synced.

Being built

Mac

In the Mac app we’re building, notebooks sit in the sidebar. Arrow keys turn pages; ⌘ and the scroll wheel zoom.
